An interesting exhibition tip with a lecture program in Munich
Seeing the Unseen. Quantum physics and art as entangled worlds
Dec 4th, 2025 – Sept 26th, 2026
Römerstr. 15, 80801 München
To mark the end of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technologies proclaimed by UNESCO, the ERES Foundation presents a colourful, ‘reality-bending’ exhibition with an excellent science programme that shines a light on the world of the infinitesimal. Around 20 artistic positions are represented in the exhibition. In addition, visitors can experience models of superconducting quantum computers and quantum computers that work with neutral atoms. Artistic drawings by the charismatic quantum field physisist Richard Feynman are also on display.
In addition to generative art pioneer Herbert W. Franke, who is represented with two oscillograms from his 1958/59 series Dance of the Electrons (Image 1), the exhibition features well-known contemporary media and installation artists such as Ayoung Kim with Delivery Dancer’s Sphere (2022 – Image 2), Jonas Lund, Tamiko Thiel with ParadoQc/Machines (2025 – image 3), and Agustina Woodgate with The Hour Glasses (2024 – image 4).
