Guest of Honor: Clara Herrmann
Biography
Since 2019, Clara Herrmann has headed the JUNGE AKADEMIE, the international residency program of the Academy of Arts, Berlin, with residencies in Berlin (Germany) and Olevano/Romano (Italy). For the JUNGE AKADEMIE she developed the HUMAN MACHINE program and initiated and curated the AI ANARCHIES project on the topic of AI and ethics with a scholarship program and an autumn school co-curated by Nora N. Khan and Maya Indira Ganesh, as well as a final exhibition in June 2023 under the title “Broken Machines & Wild Imaginings”. Herrmann was co-founder and coordinator of the Digital Solitude program at the Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart, from 2015-19, where she developed and curated the Web Residencies project. She was a research assistant at the Chair of Cultural Management at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) and is co-editor of the anthology The Digital Cultural Industry. Clara Herrmann studied literature, law and cultural management in Konstanz, Berlin, London and Frankfurt (Oder).
