Series KAES (1969)
In the series KAES – for: „Kurven, ästhetische“ (Curves, aesthetic) – algebraic curves of higher order served as the basic element. They were moved by the program in steps and transformed in the process – e.g. stretched or reduced. For this purpose, a special language was elaborated to control the program. In this way, various series, intersections and other formations are possible. In addition, curves of higher order can run back into themselves, creating closed figurations. The Fortan program was coded by Peter Henne at the Gesellschaft für Datenverarbeitung GMD in Bad Godesberg, the plotter graphics were realized with a Siemens System 4004.
