Generative Art Summit Berlin

„The conference may be the last opportunity to hear and meet the true pioneers of digital art. What the Herbert W. Franke Foundation and Susanne Paech has organized is invaluable.“

Georg Bak is a digital art curator, collector and advisor with over 20 years professional experience, specialized in generative photography, digital art and NFTs. He is advising art collectors in building their digital art collections and is on the advisory board of the HEK (Haus der Elektronischen Künste) Basel and Le Random Collection as well as in the selection committee of the Lumen Prize.

He has been a pioneering curator in the field of NFTs showcasing the worldwide first exhibition of the Cryptopunks in 2018. Among his seminal exhibitions are „Automat und Mensch“ at Kate Vass Galerie in Zurich – an exhibition on the history of AI in art. At Sothebys he curated the „Sealed Cryptopunks“ sale in 2021 and at PHILLIPS London „Ex Machina – A History of Generative Art“ in 2022. He has been publishing and been quoted widely in media such as the New York Times, Wired Magazine, Artnet, Designboom and The Art Newspaper.
